Wake Shelley's world is a small one, but it doesn't have to be.
An avid reader raised by a fisherman father, Wake's historically nervous disposition has left him too frightened to experience the world outside of his small ocean-side home. With any attempt at bravery quickly cut short by violent panic attacks, he always recoils back into his room—into his books—where he knows he's safe. When the local university decides to move its campus to the cliffside overlooking his beach-front property, however, he decides to make his most hearty effort yet to make up for lost time by pushing through his fears in order to attend.
